CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS Saturday & Sunday 11th & 12th October The Moreton Bay Triathlon Festival will be held on the 11th and 12th of October and will have changed traffic conditions around Pelican Park in Clontarf. Saturday 11th October Hornibrook Esplanade The Southbound or Brisbane bound lanes of Hornibrook Esplanade will be closed from Victoria Avenue to Maine Road. Commuters are encouraged to use King or Bell Street and Elizabeth Street when intending to head south. Sunday 12th October Hornibrook Esplanade The Southbound or Brisbane bound lanes of Hornibrook Esp from Oxely Ave to the Ted Smout Bridge will be closed for the period of the event 5:00am-11:30am. The Northbound lanes will be only one direction, commuters are asked to use King and Elizabeth Street when intending to head south. Ted Smout Bridge Will be closed between 5:00am and 9:30am. The Houghton Highway Bridge will be converted into 2 way traffic for this period. Southbound vehicles will be directed onto the Houghton Highway Bridge which will be one lane in either direction. Please allow for extra travel time. The Clontarf Boat Ramp Will be completely closed from 6:30am - 8:30am. Limited access will be available to the boat ramp at other times during the event period. Alternate boat ramps in the area are Griffin at Dohles Rocks Rd, Scarborough Boat Harbour at Bird of Passage & Thurecht Pde, and Shorncliffe at Cabbage Tree Creek Sinbad Pde. The Foreshore Pathway South of Pelican Park will be used for the run leg, we ask pedestrians and cyclists to use the footpath on the other side of the road when travelling along Hornibrook. Public will still be able to access the beach but should exercise caution when crossing the cycle and run course.
